Spring Saturday

Six Degrees

Here we go:

I went to High School with Kerr Smith, best known as Jack McPhee on Dawson’s Creek.

Kerr Smith was in a TV show on Fox called Justice with Victor Garber.

Victor Garber was in Alias with Jennifer Gardner.

Jennifer Gardner was in 13 going on 30 with Marc Ruffalo.

Marc Ruffalo was in Rumor Has It with Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston was in Picture Perfect with Kevin Bacon.

So why I am I playing Six Degrees you may ask?  Well because you all are slaves to pop culture of course.  Oh, and I almost ran over* his teenage daughter last week coming out of a coffee shop while Kevin waited impatiently standing out side of his Prius at the curb.  How ’bout you?  Can you get to Kevin Bacon from yourself in six degrees?

*edited to add — I almost ran over her with MY STROLLER, not my car!

What I Did This Weekend

Yesterday, instead of Life in Eden, I spent the afternoon in The Garden of the Gods.

The trip was really for job search purposes for Adam, and it was informative.  But no big decisions have been made and we will probably need to do some more traveling to see other possibilities before deciding.  The babies did a great job traveling, but it was a bit crazy.  We had some big bumps in the road (flight delay by 2 hours, barely got our rental car, they gave us the wrong type car seat), but we managed to have a fairly smooth trip after getting there.

What did you do this weekend?

On Marriage

Perhaps it was all the recent news regarding Prop 8.  Perhaps it was the recent romantic holiday (okay that was awhile ago, but what can I say, I’m slow.).  But somehow The Snake got to talking about who he is going to marry.

I’m going to marry a BOY.  he he he

Okay, if that’s what you decide.

No, no, no. (more serious)  I’m marrying a girl.  Yeah, definitely a girl.

Really? Okay.

Yeah, cause girls are smarter. (That’s my boy!)

Really?

Yeah, girls are smarter.  ‘Cause like they listen and pay attention and stuff.

Oh?

Yeah and they can sit still.

Me thinks the boy is antsy at school, don’t you?
