Sun Bath
I walked to the park yesterday with The Snake for a birthday party. Saw this lovely scene. Thought it was just right for my Best Shot Monday (and if I cheat a little maybe I can count it for a Straight Out Of the Camera shot too!).

Note: You’ll be seeing quite a few photos here from now on, and links to photography sites as I’ve finally treated myself to a new digital SLR camera, and I’m getting back into an activity I love.
Marchin’
Three miles. We did it. It felt good. I had a lot to think about. Much to be grateful for.

Thank you to everyone for their support.
Ducks for Maddie
Yesterday I went to the neighborhood park. It had been awhile since we had gone. School, appointments, the little things that make the days busy kept us from going. Such a simple pleasure, deferred.
After learning of the loss of little Madeline Alice, I remembered that life should not be deferred. Our neighborhood park was one of Maddie’s favorites, for the swings and the duck pond. Yesterday there were ducklings. I gave the fruit babies their first swing ride. I thought of Maddie and her loving parents. I hoped they would find peace and gave thanks for the beauty in my life.
