11 to Go

This month I’m featuring posts as a part of #reverb10, an annual event and online initiative to reflect on your year and manifest what’s next.

December 11 – 11 Things What are 11 things your life doesn’t need in 2011? How will you go about eliminating them? How will getting rid of these 11 things change your life? (Author: Sam Davidson)

  1. Perfectionism
  2. Anger
  3. Defeatism
  4. About 7 lbs
  5. An itchy dog
  6. Loneliness
  7. A messy desk
  8. Procrastination
  9. Inane web surfing
  10. Inertia
  11. Shyness

Well, working on my personal issues will tackle perfectionism, anger, defeatism, loneliness, procrastination, inertia and shyness.  Maybe it’s time for a therapist?  Maybe I’ll just get more babysitting.  As for the 7 lbs, I joined the local Y so that one is in the works.  Maybe with a little better health, and getting out more, the shyness, inertia and loneliness with get better.  Although #8 could put a big hitch in all that.  Hmm, #8 may hold up #7 from getting tackled too.   Oh wait, that sounds a bit too much like #3.  Argh, I’m so frustrated with myself (oh wait, that’s #2)!   Maybe it is time for a therapist.

Even just making a dent in any of these will make my life better in 2011.  And don’t worry — I’m not getting rid of the itchy dog, just the itchies.

(I know today is really the 12th, but I wanted to do this one.)
